GENERAL INFORMATION

Full name: Sports facility «Grodno football club «Neman». The Physical Training, Sports and Tourism Office of Grodno Executive Committee is a founder of football club «Neman».

Neman – football club from the city of Grodno, one of the oldest cities of Belarus with the population of 320000 people. The club has been founded in 1964 and till 1991 acted in the Second League (D3) of the USSR championship. Since 1992 this club is a participant of the Highest League (D1) of the championship of Belarus, with such clubs as «Dynamo-Minsk», «Dynamo-Brest» and Soligorsk «Shahter». Football club «Neman» is one of the 4 clubs which continuously act in the main division of the country from the moment of its foundation.

At this moment the structure of club includes 6 teams and Specialized Olympic Reserve School for Children and Youths (in structure of club since 2009). The main team of Neman (Team «A») acts in the Highest League of the championship of Belarus (D1), reserves (Team «B») – in the championship of reserves among clubs of the Highest League, and also four youthful teams which act in the youthful championship of Belarus in accordance with ages. 591 pupils study in 47 groups at club football school.
